Transition Meeting of the Bureau of the Court
The newly elected Bureau met on 6 November 2019 in Vienna for its investiture and take-over of the current affairs.
The mandate of the Bureau headed by President Tomuschat coming to expiry in October 2019, the members of the Court, appointed by the States parties to the Convention on Conciliation and Arbitration within the OSCE, were invited to elect a new Bureau of the Court for a mandate of six years. The elections of the President of the Court and the Bureau members were carried out in a written procedure and in line with the provisions set forth in Article 9(3) of the Rules of Procedure of the Court. The election process generated great interest among the appointed members entitled to cast a vote with a participation rate of 73%.
