Researcher-in-residence programme
Are you a researcher?
Then check out our researcher-in-residence programme in Prague. Since 1998, more than 160 research projects have been done there. Researchers can get access to all OSCE records and a variety of related publications. The Prague Office keeps all major CSCE/OSCE conference documents in hard copy and digital files since 1973, most of them available in the six official OSCE languages: English, French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish.
If you choose to apply for the programme, expect to stay in Prague for two to three months – it all depends on the precise nature of your research and the Office’s schedule. You can use office and computer equipment for free but will have to cover all other costs, including accommodation.
Whether you want to continue your doctoral or master’s thesis, develop curriculum material or collect bibliographical material for a book or a specialized article, your project should be in one of the official languages and you need to send us two copies of your published or unpublished work when it is completed.
How to apply
Plan up to six months in advance and send us:
- a statement of intention that includes your preferred dates
- a full outline of your project, including on how you plan to fund it, and
- your curriculum vitae that includes your academic credentials and, if available, your previous publications
