Combating human trafficking

Working together with government and civil society, the Presence runs various activities to fight the exploitation and trafficking of human beings in Albania. It supports a national and regional exchange of best practices on victim protection and the prevention and prosecution of trafficking crimes; gives technical assistance to government on updating its migration strategy and anti-trafficking action plan; and assists with cross-border and regional co-operation initiatives to prevent child trafficking.
