Promoting green economy principles
The OSCE Programme Office in Astana is committed to the promotion of the principles of green growth, energy security and renewable energies in Kazakhstan. EXPO-2017 “Future Energy”, held in Astana, underscored the host country’s efforts in those fields and created additional opportunities for further progress towards a more environmentally sustainable economy and renewable energy. The Programme Office provides continued support to Kazakhstan’s strategic legal, economic and institutional reforms aimed at fostering economic development while promoting environmentally friendly practices, green economy, women entrepreneurship, good governance and efficient water resources management.
